Our mission
Buying home golf technology is unusually easy to get wrong. A launch monitor can be excellent and still be a poor fit for your room. A simulator package can look complete and still leave out software, subscriptions, installation requirements or important compatibility details.
The Golf Rig exists to make those decisions clearer. We organize recommendations around the way people actually build a setup: room first, then technology, then compatible components.
How we approach recommendations
We do not rank products simply because they have the longest specification list. We look at room fit, intended use, ownership cost, software compatibility, portability, installation complexity and who the product is actually best for.
Our goal is not to find one “best” product for everyone. It is to help readers identify the right system for their own space and budget.
Editorial independence
The Golf Rig may earn affiliate commissions when readers purchase through selected links. Affiliate relationships do not determine which products are included, how they are described or where they rank.
We do not accept paid placements inside rankings. If a commercial relationship ever affects how content is presented, it will be disclosed clearly.
What we mean by “tested”
We only describe a product as personally tested when we have actually used it. When we have not, we say so. Research-based guides separate manufacturer specifications, independent evidence, owner and community feedback, and our own editorial analysis.
This distinction matters because an anonymous publication should earn trust through transparent methodology rather than pretending to have experience it does not have.
Our standard
Facts are sourced. Judgment is labeled.
That principle guides every buying guide, comparison and product page on The Golf Rig.
